Campaign Website

A client of mine had an old friend who was running for Sheriff of Jefferson County in New York and asked if I could provide the design. I like the results, which intentionally sidesteps some of the more common pitfalls of political campaign websites. (think: red text on a blue background)

Samsung Tablet OS

At the TenFour agency I was given the chance to design a new tablet operating system user interface from the bottom up. My design features a left-hand curved dock to reflect the way users actually hold a tablet with two hands on either side. The home screen was populated with customizable widgets.

The dock expands with a flick of the thumb to reveal a list of all applications, which the user can scroll through vertically. There is also a filter button to narrow the search.

I also created a couple of preliminary designs for the native Notes and Tasks app.

SplashCast Console and Player

The SplashCast Console is a content management system for organizing and tagging multiple media types. Users can then arrange the content into custom shows that dynamically updated in an embeddable player. I was able to join the company during it’s first week, and was integral to the product development, strategy, as well as the user experience and user interface design.

The other half of the SplashCast equation was the player, which is embeddable and endlessly customizable. As with the Console, feature-bloat became a serious issue, and it fell to me to make a very complicated widget appear simple by hiding its more powerful features.
